Your Feelings Belong at the Art Table

Hello my friend,

Your feelings are not in the way of your art.
They are the way.

Most of us were never taught what to do with our emotions, so when we feel tired, anxious, sad, or overwhelmed, we avoid the art table instead of going to it.

But your art is a safe place for all of it.

Here’s the simple practice for today:

Pause.
Take a breath.
Ask yourself, what am I feeling right now?

Name it in one word.
Then ask
If this feeling had a color, what would it be
If it had a shape or mark, what might it look like

Give it five minutes on a page. No masterpiece. Just noticing.

You are allowed to feel and create at the same time.

Next time we’ll talk about gentle, doable creative goals that stretch you without breaking you.

Make art. Be happy.

I recorded a short video walking through how The Practice actually works. I made this first for the women who have already joined, so they could feel grounded and supported as we begin. As I was recording it, I realized it would be helpful to share it with you too. This isn’t a highlight reel. It’s the real rhythm of the program and how it holds you when life gets busy or messy. In the video, I share how the pacing works, what happens if you miss time, and how support shows up You don’t need...
